Nichols Hills Mixed Recycling, Glass Recycling, & Composting
Fertile Ground now provides Mixed Recycling, Glass Recycling, and Compost Collection services to residents of Nichols Hills!
Mixed Recycling
We provide you with one 96-gallon polycart and you decide whether you would like weekly or biweekly (every other week) service. We accept all items mixed into the cart: mixed paper, metal cans, plastics #1 #2 & #5 (Soda, water, salad dressing, laundry detergent, shampoo and conditioner bottles, milk jugs, etc.), cardboard and paperboard. Plastic bags, glass, styrofoam, and trash are not accepted in your recycling bin. Please place all recycling into the bin without bags.
Glass Recycling
We are excited to provide a glass recycling option for Nichols Hills! We provide you with one 18-gallon bin blue bin and come by every other week to collect your glass. Just set out your glass bin near your recycling and landfill bins and we will collect from your house-side. Please put away dogs. We will not service your house if dogs are present on collection day.
ACCEPTED ITEMS: All glass containers, e.g. beer and wine bottles, glass jars; home window glass; auto glass pieces, no whole windshields.
NOT ACCEPTED ITEMS: Any composite glass product, including: ceramic, Pyrex, Corningware, dinner plates/china, as well as lids and caps.

Compost Collection
Don’t have the time or space to compost at home? Let us do it for you! Each week we will come by your home, swap for your filled bucket for a clean one, and compost your food scraps right here at Fertile Ground. You get one free bucket of finished compost in return per year, which distributed upon request in the Spring!
