How To Make Your Party Zero-Waste

We are thrilled to announce that we now offer BPI-Certified Compostable Eco-Products for sale! This allows anyone interested in hosting a more eco-friendly party to achieve that goal. Before we dive into the details of this we do want to preface this by saying that if you are able to use reusable plates, cups, utensils etc. this would be preferable and make your party more eco-friendly. If you want an easy clean-up, consider getting our DIY Zero-Waste Party Kit!

Wondering how it works? When you purchase the DIY Zero-Waste Party Kit, you will receive compostable plates, cups, utensils, and a bio bag, with the additional option to rent a wireframe bin.

Here’s what you do:

  • Use the compostable plates, cups and utensils.

  • Let your guests know

    • Let your guests know that you will composting food scraps and that the plates, utensils and cups are also compostable!

  • Use the bio-bag

    • Make sure your guests place all of their leftovers, compostable plates, utensils and cups into the green bio-bag. Meat and dairy are accepted!

  • keep it clean

    • Contamination happens, but please remove anything that is not compostable. For example: chip bags, diapers, wipes, etc

  • Drop-it off

    • After the event and checking for contamination you can drop off your bio-bag at Fertile Ground to be composted! Our address is 2228 S Santa Fe Ave. Oklahoma City, OK. 73109

    • If you can’t drop-off, ask us about a pick-up option (price depends on location) at least 48 hours prior to your event.
